Joe’s Camp is an annual bantam elite basketball camp held every August in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Each year, 40 of the top mini and bantam players in Nova Scotia are invited to attend. The camp is non-profit and is therefore affordable for everyone.
Since the first camp in 2000, many former Joe’s Campers have went on to play high school and college basketball in Canada and the United States. Also, many former Joe’s Campers have represented Nova Scotia on various provincial teams. |

Former Joe’s Camper (2000), Bryson Johnson, recently finished his freshman season for Bucknell University (NCAA Division 1) in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Bryson played in all 31 games and averaged 9.5 points per game. He started 12 of the 31 games for Bucknell.

Tremaine Fraser attended Joe’s Camp in 2000, 2001 and 2002. He was selected as the Top Defensive Player in 2000, All-Star in 2001, and MVP of the 2002 camp.
Tremaine recently finished his third season with the 2009-2010 AUS Champion Cape Breton University Capers. He was selected to the 2008-2009 AUS Second All-Star Team.

Former Joe’s Camper (2000 & 2001), Chris Johnson, of North Preston, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Liberty University (NCAA D-1) for the 2010-11 academic year.
“Chris is a valuable addition to our program,” said Liberty head coach Dale Layer. “He is a very talented scorer who can score in a variety of ways. He has developed at Kilgore College under Coach Brian Hoberecht and will make an immediate impact on the offensive end.”

Joe’s Camp 2009 was held at the East Dartmouth Community Centre over three days in late August, 2009. As always, the competition was second to none in Atlantic Canada.

NBA Skills Trainer Ganon Baker to Coach at Joe’s Camp 2010! |

Nike Basketball Trainer Ganon Baker has trained multiple High School All-Americans, College, and NBA Stars, including Amar’e Stoudemire, Derrick Rose, Andrew Bynum, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, and many more. He has worked closely with LeBron James, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Kobe Bryant at their Nike Skills Academies.
Ganon will be the head skill development coach at Joe’s Camp 2010 on the second day of camp. Click here to watch a video of Ganon in action.
